Sony Launches 3 New Devices at MWC.

     

         

        As you know, the Mobile World Congress is going on in Barcelona. Sony mobiles corp. has released three new devices in its Xperia line up , two of which are phones and a tablet. Lets jump into the devices.

Sony Xperia Z2 :

            The Sony Xperia Z2 is the company's new flagship with the waterproofing technology (yay!!). It looks more like a Z1 refresh with slim bezels and 0.3mm thinner profile. The Z2 is 2.4mm longer than its predecessor due to increase in screen size from 5" to 5.2"FullHD IPS display (finally better colours) with triluminous technology. The internal specifications consists of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 801 SoC which is slightly faster than the already fast 800 found in Z1. Its a quad core processor with 4 Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.3 GHz coupled with Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB Ram and 16 GB internal memory. It runs on Android's latest version KitKat 4.4.2 with sony's customised launcher. It has a 20.7 megapixel camera with sony G lens and Bionz image processor. The new addition is the ability to record 4k videos and 720p video at 120fps (Timeshift video). The battery has been bumped to 3,200mAh. There is also a micro SD card slot which supports unto 64GB of memory.

Sony Xperia M2:

        The Sony Xperia M2 is the successor of Xperia M. It has got great specs for a mid ranger.It features a 4.8-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor (MSM8926 for 4G LTE, MSM8226 for 3G) coupled with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The Xperia M2 features 8GB of built-in storage, with microSD card expansion up to 32GB. The 8-megapixel camera on the Xperia M2 has 'auto scene' recognition and HDR. Camera apps such as Social live, Timeshift burst and Picture Effect are other camera features being touted by Sony.In addition, the Sony Xperia M2 features a 2300mAh battery. It comes with Android 4.3 as of now with KitKat update planned for later (hopefully).

Sony Xperia Tablet Z2:

        Sony claims the tablet Z2 to be the slimmest and lightest tablet. Its completely waterproof (yay!! again!!) and is just 6.4mm thin. Its also packs the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Soc clocked at 2.3GHz, 3GB of RAM and it comes with Android 4.4.2. It features a Full HD display (1920 x 1200) with sony mobile bravia engine 2. At he back you'll find a 8MP camera with 1080@30fps recording. Underneath that slim profile there's a humongous 6000mAh battery that should provide juice for all those heavy components.

  Android  is an Operating System based on Linux kernel.It was primarily designed for Touchscreen mobile devices like Smartphones or tablets. Inititally developed by android inc. which was later bought by google in the year 2005.It was unveiled in  the year 2007.The first publicly available smartphone was HTC Dream on October 22 2008. Developers not only modify the aosp(Android Open Source Project) They even modify the roms which were released by other mobile manufacturing companies like samsung sony etc.We can even port few Roms from other devices or other mobile versions.

        Every year tech companies have something new to present and achieve new milestones in mobile computing. And Mobile World Congress is one such event where all the tech giants and various other companies showcase their latest and greatest innovative ideas in mobile computing along with new mobile handsets.
